The salsa classes are open to all — you don't need to bring anyone, you don't need special clothes, you don't even need to tell us you're coming! We have tight class times, so we recommend arriving 10 mins early so you have time to put down your jacket and come and say hello.
Classes are every Thursday, 7—8 and 8:15—9:15.
The beginners class is always aimed at absolute beginners, however it's usually a lot of fun so don't be surprised if you find an advanced student has snuck in. The lesson always includes the basic patterns and then breaks down a piece of fundamental technique. Smiling is obligatory in this class. (Arrive 6:55)
The improvers class is more technical and builds on the foundation of the beginners class. The emphasis is on leading & following techniques and adding capabilities to our body movement. (Arrive 6:55)
After one or two months in the improvers class you'll most likely want to enter the dangerous world of the intermediate class. Part of our philosophy is not to let anything impede people's learning and opportunity to have more fun, so don't wait for an invitation — come and speak to one of us about what's involved and whether you're ready. The lesson includes some or all of shines, spins, turn patterns, and styling. The focus is on learning technique to make social dancing more pleasureable. (Arrive 8:10)

We dance Cuban moves with a Puerto Rican energy in a New York style on a London beat. It's linear, it's absorbing, it can be fast and energetic, it can be slow and sensual, it's creative, it's expressive, it's a hell of a lot of fun.
